The Whites and Blues

Sunsets, parties and the blue domes. Mykonos is a dreamy island. From daytime beach parties to evening breezes, there is something for all ages and interests. The cobble stone streets and white buildings add a beautiful touch to the nature of Mykonos and makes everything seem brighter!
I was there with family which was unfortunate as there were many youngsters and party opportunities which I had to miss due to obvious reasons!

Seafood, which isn't one of my most favourable dishes was incredibly popular and despite the fact that it is a touristic hotspot, prices were not too extremely high. I stuck to eating risotto one night, lasagne the other and completed my week with five other Italian favourites - in Greece. Nice.
My favourite time of day in Mykonos was the nighttime.  It felt as though this pretty little island came alive at night and everything looked extra special from sunset onwards.  It was almost the only thing I looked forward to after waking up and going to the beach to spend my whole day soaking up the rays.  Bliss.
It was easy identifying certain boutiques and stalls, nonetheless, getting to them was a big problem as we could never find our way out of the maze - like streets, which all happen to look the same.  The warm hearted and friendly locals of Mykonos never held back in telling me how inappropriate my platform wedges were for the cobble stone streets which I felt was incredibly sweet and purely out of spite.
There were various white and red buildings which had the door wide open and looked like a place of prayer.  After researching this, we found out that certain families in Mykonos have their own Church which they are responsible for all things in from maintenance to simply being a touristic attraction.

My selfie stick came in extremely handy on this trip, as it does on every trip, and I highly recommend it to those who are still, to this day being influenced by judgmental, ignorant and boring people who cannot understand them.  If it was not for my selfie stick, this photo would not have been so detailed and included everything I wanted it to.
The Italian Gelato (ice cream) cafe's were another fantastic factor of popularity for Mykonos as it gave that summer in the mediterranean feel with a hint of Italy and the traditional Greek coffee; which is a lot more bitter and ground compared to other coffee.

Berlin: The City of Many Walls

So as I had mentioned before, I enjoy shopping and accept that it is possibly my worst addiction.  I haven't however mentioned specifics and have now got to move onto the more exciting detail.  Spending money on plane tickets.  My latest trip was to Berlin.  I have been there before for only two days but I must say that seeing just a wall and visiting the Christmas market was far from sufficient and I knew I had to go back and visit from the day I got there and began exploring; so here it was. I arrived in Berlin on a cold but sunny Sunday Afternoon and the first thing which caught my attention was the long streets - covered in art.  I don't think I had appreciated the fun and colourful walls which are covered in graffiti as much as I thought I did the last time I was there.   When I arrived at the Park Plaza on Wall Street, I noticed a lot of bikes on the street corner which were to rent.  Of course immediately I tried to get on one to see if my leg...

Huda Beauty: Does the Faux Filter Foundation really add filter?

I have really tried to love this product.  I'd consider myself to be a Huda-ist (not sure this word exists but I think it should!) and so try and purchase every product which I convince myself to be magical, as soon as it is launched. Faux Filter Foundation The Faux Filter Foundation was no exception.  I bought, I tried... I never liked.  First of all, it is far too thick and creamy.  Unlike most foundations, it literally does what it says on the box - it adds a filter to your face without a caked - on look however; flawlessness - debatable.  I never really use more than a pump of foundation anyway, and especially after watching her very honest tutorials and blog posts, I was glad that I didn't have to change this rule.  I use just half a pump and even this is plenty.   Complexion Perfection Now, you're probably thinking "if this product is so great, what is the problem?"  Well, for those who have not yet tried it, I can te...

The Power of Rejection

When was the last time you did something without wondering 'what if?', or worrying about the outcome? Now I find this to be a bit of a problem in our society, and want to get to the bottom of it. I say it's a problem, because I see that a lot of people of all ages, holding back in doing what could change a lot in their lives and decisions.  I sometimes feel like rejection or being turned away in whatever I do is such an obstacle that I need to express the negative effect this may have on the lives of so many of us. In order to overcome this obstacle, the first question I ask myself is 'so what?'. This is key, because when you start answering your own questions, it's a lot simpler to picture why 'rejection' or an answer which isn't that of your expectations isn't actually an obstacle.  Stating facts or presenting opinions where due is a part of our nature, and the human race is one of the most confusing among all. The point is, you are ne...
